When a child asks for a bike through our Stockings With Care program, we believe they should receive one. A bike to a child represents independence and freedom, and we want to do all we can to encourage those feelings in the children we serve.
As you may know, getting a bike delivered and put together in NYC is no easy task, so when a child requests a bike for Christmas, we purchase a bike, a helmet and a bike lock, and we have a dedicated team of volunteers to put them together to make that child’s Christmas morning special.
